The Reunion/Revival and Camp Meeting also featured inspirational music from the choirs of St. Paul Halsellville, Second Wilson and other guest choirs. With stomping feet and clapping keeping time visitors sang familiar hymns in their chairs and pews and standing.

Discussion about the ancestors who came to this county as enslaved persons was the topic of conversation at the 9th Annual Old Zion Revival/Reunion Camp Meeting this past Sunday at the Old Zion Heritage Site. The theme was “Reflecting on the Year 1619 and Our Enslaved Ancestors: Higher Ground”. The year 1619 is regarded as the beginning of slavery in America, the year a ship unloaded the first cargo of enslaved persons at Jamestown.
