Todd Smith said he wants to improve the Town of Great Falls.

His desire to make improvements, he said, prompted him to file for a two-year term on the town council. The election will be held April 8.

"My counseling and ministry background allow me to listen to the concerns of others and work toward finding practical solutions to their issues," Smith said.

Smith has no previous political experience.

Smith, 36, said he will work to improve the town's image, employment opportunities, services and activities and programs for young people.
