The Chester boys soccer team continued its playoff push on Tuesday night with a close win at Columbia.

The Cyclones downed the Capitals 2-1. Irving Ramos scored both Chester goals, including the first just 10 minutes into the contest on an assist from Jeffrey Gulish. Columbia tied the score at 1-1 just before the half and it stayed that way until the 79th minute when Ramos scored from the right side of the box off a cross from J.D. Welborn. Kenard Young turned away seven Columbia shots-on-goal.
