Local fans won't have to wait until August to enjoy football in Chester County.
The Carolina Scorpions, a semi-pro team that competes in the GDFL, will play their home games this season at Joe Collins Memorial Stadium at the old fairgrounds. The team is made up of players from Chester, York, Lancaster and Charlotte. Owner Bakari Rawlinson says he wants to put a good product on the field but also wants his team and players to accomplish good things off the field as well.
"It's really a ministry to help rehabilitate people," Rawlinson said.
