Lewisville Lady Lions win Game 1 of Class A softball championship series

The Lewisville softball team won game one on Monday of the Class A softball championship series by a 9-7 score in nine innings over East Clarendon. The Lady Lions trailed 6-5 going to the 7th, but Amber Bass tied the game with a solo home run. Neither team dented the scoreboard in the 8th, but Ivy McCall delivered a clutch two-out, two-run single for Lewisville. The Lady Lions, now 26-4, can clinch the first state softball title in school history at home on Wednesday.
