It was a close, back-and-forth game for 32 minutes, but the Lewisville Lady Lions just missed on a big victory Tuesday.

The team fell to AA Chesterfield by a final score of 50-49. Lewisville led 14-12 after one, fell behind 28-24 at the break, surged ahead again entering the fourth and finally dropped a one-point heartbreaker.

As the team does most nights, the Lady Lions turned in a terrific night on the boards, pulling down 46, with Allie Keels leading the way with 12. Ball security continued to be an issue, though, as the team suffered through 36 turnovers.

Amber Bass led the way offensively for Lewisville with 25 points. She added eight rebounds, four steals and a pair of assists. Katlyn Fosset scored seven points and pulled down five rebounds.

The team now stands at 2-6.

The Lewisville boys picked up a nice win, taking out the Rams 69-56 to move to 2-4. Lewisville plays York Prep tonight at home.
