CDDA raffle, silent auction

-A A +A

To the Editor:
Mark April 15 on your calendar – but not only for Income Tax Day!
This April 15, the Chester Downtown Development Association (CDDA) is holding a reverse raffle and silent auction at Anna's Arbor, 129 Gadsden St. in downtown Chester, at 7 p.m. for the chance to win the $10,000 in prize money and $5,000 worth of other prize offerings.
With the reverse raffle, a total of 300 tickets are available for sale at $100 per ticket. If your ticket number on the purchased ticket matches the ticket drawn on April 15, the winner of the cash and prizes will be announced. Your purchased ticket is your entry to the drawing party and silent auction. Winners do not need to be present to receive their prize.
Tickets are available now at the CDDA office, 137 Gadsden St., Chester, or write cynthia.cdda@ gmail.com. You can also buy tickets at Anna's Arbor in downtown Chester, 581-2666. All proceeds will go toward CDDA's work to revitalize and develop downtown Chester through beautification, tourism, education, youth, economic initiatives and more.
Current projects include developing a city gateway park to downtown, monthly Second Thursday Blues Nights at downtown businesses, partnerships with schools and educational centers, festivals and major events and a recently-established downtown information center.
We encourage you to buy your ticket today. Chances are one in 300 that you will be the lucky winner of the $10,000 grand prize – much better odds than with Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots and other lotteries! And, your ticket purchase will contribute to transform downtown Chester into a vibrant and viable community.
