Thirteen arrests made in dogfighting case

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) made 13 arrests in connection with dogfighting on Saturday in Richland County, including six Chester County residents.

Arrested and charged with animal fighting and baiting were LaCharles Terrel Beatty, 32, of Richburg, Howard Cockrell, 27, of Chester, Carl Montero Brown, 27, of Chester, Kevin Breon Pickett, 36, or Richburg, Kareem Lann, 25, of Chester and Lataruis Antwan Robinson, 42, of Fort Lawn, Kenyata Jermaine Massey, 45, of Lancaster, Eddrick Twitty, 44, of Heath Springs, Eric Deon Todd, 35, of Blythewood, Daryl Bowman, 29, of Columbia, Kareem Witherspoon, 48, or Heath Springs, Glenn Housel, 51, of Newberry and Patrick Heard, 45, of Elberton, Georgia.
