  • Mr. John P. Cash, 80

    CHESTER – A chapel service for Mr. John Perry Cash will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, at Barron Funeral Home with Michael Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

    Mr. Cash died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 at WJB Dorn VA Medical Center. He was 80. Born on Aug. 28, 1935 in Greenville, he was a son of the late Forrest Monroe Cash and Lorena Price.  

  • Mrs. Angela B. Evans, 49

    CHESTER – Mrs. Angela Bryant Evans of 1139 Stanback Road, Chester, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 at Piedmont Medical Center. She was 49.

    Funeral arrangements will be announced later by King’s Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester. The family will receive friends at the home.

  • Mr. Charles E. Lowery, 73

    ROCK HILL – The funeral service for Mr. Charles Ellis Lowery of 462 Summit St., Rock Hill, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Boyd Hill Baptist Church in Rock Hill with Pastor J. Thomas Barber officiating. Burial will follow in Barber Memorial Cemetery.

    Mr. Lowery died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015. He was 73.

    Viewing will be held from 2 until 7 p.m. today, Dec. 18, at King’s Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester, and from noon until 2 p.m. at the church on Saturday.

  • Mrs. Amelia Powell, 73

    RICHBURG – The funeral service for Mrs. Amelia Lee Garland Greene Powell, formerly of Richburg, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 at noon at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Clark Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Nebo AME Zion Church Cemetery in Richburg.

    Mrs. Powell died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2015. She was 73.

    Viewing will be held from 1 until 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, and visitation will be held from 5 until 6 p.m. at King’s Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester.

  • Mr. Robert “Baby Brother” Feaster, 83

    PARKVILLE, MD. – Mr. Robert “Baby Brother” Feaster, 83, of Parkville, Md., formerly of Chester, SC and Portsmouth, Va., passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.

    The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Freewill Baptist Church, 1601 Rutland Ave., Baltimore, Md., 21213. Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Albert G. Horton Veterans Cemetery, Virginia.

    CHESTER – The funeral for Mr. Antonio “Tony” Hemphill of 1616 Saluda Road, Chester will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Faith and Love Christian Center in Chester with Pastor Wylie Frederick officiating. Burial will be in Uriel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

    Mr. Hemphill died Wednesday, June 16, 2015 at Chester Regional Medical Center. He was 29.

  • Mr. Robert L. “Moon” Mack, 61

    CHESTER – The funeral for Mr. Robert L. “Moon” Mack of 628 Lancaster Highway, Apt. 217, Chester will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Jerome Boyd officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    Mr. Mack died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. He was 61.

    FORT LAWN – The funeral service for Mrs. Aprioal Deon Watts Wesley of Fort Lawn will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at Mt. Tabor AME Zion Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Alexander and the Rev. Curtis N. Washington officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Memorial Park.

    Mrs. Wesley died Monday, June 15, 2015. She was 43.

    She was a daughter of Willie James Jackson and Mildred Watts Laws.

  • Mr. John Terry Fleming, 66

    CHESTER – Mr. John Terry Fleming, 66, died Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. All services will be private.

    Mr. Fleming was a son of the late Guy E. Fleming and Martha Hart Fleming.

    Survivors include two sons, Jody Fleming (Beth) and Jeff Fleming, both of Chester; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
