The floors at the Brooklyn Community Center, the former Brooklyn Elementary School, have never looked as good as they do now, confided Brooklyn trustees Theodore Feaster and Billy Powell. The tongue and groove solid pine floors were placed in the building in 1938 when it was built. Hundreds of years of children’s feet, shod and unshod, have polished them and laid down layers of dirt and dust. Today the floors are part of the restored Brooklyn Community Center’s glory.
