A local woman was seriously injured in an accident on her job Monday.
Ashley Whittle, 24, was first airlifted to Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia. From there, she was airlifted to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, according to her aunt, Joyce Wright.
Great Falls Interim Fire Chief David Galloway said a member of the fire department responded to Morcon, Inc. on James Baker Boulevard around 8:30 a.m. He said the firefighter assisted EMS in setting up a landing zone for a medical helicopter to land at Morcon.
