A 38-year-old Great Falls woman was fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash on S.C. Highway 97 Friday night around 9:40 p.m.

S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Judd Jones said Brittney Moody, 21, of Chester was driving a 2002 Dodge Neon northbound on the highway when a 2000 Honda traveling southbound ran off the side of the road, over-corrected, crossed the center line and struck Moody.

According to Chester County Deputy Coroner Tommy Williams, Lisa Michelle Taylor Henson, 38, of 5393 Old Winnsboro Road, Great Falls was ejected from the Honda and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident happened about 3.2 miles north of Great Falls near Ross Dye Road.

Moody was airlifted to Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia. She was wearing a seatbelt, Jones said.

No charges have been filed in the accident, according to Jones.
