According to his flier, Sutton is pastor of Faith Christian Church in Winnsboro and chairman of Fairfield County Progressive Citizens.
On Tuesday, life-long Fairfield County resident MaryGail Douglas sent out an e-mail announcing he intention to run as well.
"After much encouragement and thought about what it will involve; I am ready to work for this district and do it in a full-time capacity.  I am eager to learn the new areas which are included in the new district lines.  This district has so much potential.  We need somebody who is ready to sell the good points that exist in our district," the e-mail read.
According to the Winnsboro Herald Independent, Palmer Nicholson, a Ridgeway businessman, is also close to announcing his candidacy.
