Tri-County golf tournament results

The 33rd annual Tri-County Golf Tournament was held on Sept. 3 and 4 at the Chester Golf Course with a total of 95 players participating.
The highlight of the tournament weekend was the appearance of Charlie Sifford, the first African-American to play on the PGA Tour in 1961. In 1967 he became the first African-American to win a fully-sanctioned PGA Tour event.

• Championship Flight:

• Senior Flight:
Tim Harris, Fort Mill: 72-71=143.
