Roads to close for King parade

-A A +A
By Travis Jenkins

Some roads around the City of Chester will be temporarily closed Sunday during the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade.
Most of the closings will take place at 2 p.m. and last until the end of the parade. The intersections of Oak and Saluda, Oak and Loomis and Marquis and Bailey will all take place at that time. At 2:30 p.m., the intersection of Lancaster and Loomis will be closed.
The parade is one of the county's biggest and best attended each year. This year's parade will feature 164 entries. The even is set to begin at 3 p.m.
