The Town of Richburg Fiscal Year 2014-2015 budget was passed at the June meeting.
Following a public hearing in which no one had any comment, the $138,300 budget was approved by all Town Council members present with Albert Stewart absent.
The budget has no tax increase and includes a transfer from the reserve fund of $45,630 to maintain a balanced budget as required by law.
Other issues taken up by Town Council:
A report on the town's 125th Anniversary Celebration. Councilmember Flora Barber said tickets for the celebration will go on sale in July.
A report by Councilmember Saye McCrorey on the Town of Richburg's 6th Annual Fall Festival. The festival is set for October 25th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will coincide with the 125th Anniversary Celebration.
Council agreed to table the issues on repairs to Town Hall until the next meeting.
Council declined the chance to participate in the Catawba Regional Council of Governments' Affordable Housing consortium, due to the limited funds the Town has in reserve as this time.
