EDGEMOOR - Mrs. Dorothy Grant Barnes, 77, widow of William Thomas Barnes Jr. of Edgemoor, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at Chester Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 20, 1933, in Chester, a daughter of the late Clemo Davis Grant and Ruth Helems Grant. Mrs. Barnes was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She had worked as a secretary at the office of Dr. Wallace and Henry and as secretary of Harmony Baptist Church. She had been active in the Home Demonstration Club of Edgemoor.
