Mr. Sam Willie Adams, 82
CHESTER – Mr. Sam Willie Adams, 82, of 1154 Coleman Drive passed away on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Chester Regional Medical Center.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Black Rock Baptist Church with Pastor Kennedy Threatt officiating and the Rev. James M. Wilson Sr. delivering the eulogy. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Born in Chester County on July 7, 1930, he was the son of the late Samuel Hardin and Jessie Adams. He was a member of Old Wilson Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, member of Unit 1 and was a former Trustee.
He was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Adams; a daughter, Grace Adams; a granddaughter, Lelia Yvette Williams; and three sisters, Sara Bouler, Gertrude Mobley and Ella Mae McCullough.
Survivors are his wife, Luvenia Williams Adams; two sons, Jeroy Adams and Kenneth (Sherry) Adams; three daughters, Shirley Hughes, Annet (Robert) Boulware and Elaine (Willie) Crawford; a goddaughter, Ann Foote; one brother, Charlie (Essie Ray) Hardin; one sister, Maggie Bouler; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Josephine Coleman and Modiestell Mobley.
King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester, was in charge of arrangements.
