JAMAICA, N.Y. - The funeral for Mr. Ernest Atkinson of 145-24 Guy R. Brewer Blvd., formerly of Chester, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Calvary Baptist Church in Chester with the Rev. Dr. Joseph H. Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Atkinson died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Atkinson of New York; a daughter, Renee Atkinson of New York; his mother, Daisy Gore Atkinson of Chester; and a sister, Carla Atkinson Owens of Chester.
