A few of my favorite sites

I've run across a couple of web sites that are absolute must-sees for high school football fans.
The first is www.scfootballhistory.com. If you've ever wondered who won that thrilling Blenheim vs. Wampee Little River tilt back in '69 (Wampee Little River did, 14-6) this is the site for you. SCfootballhistory has the date and score of EVERY high school football game played in South Carolina dating back to 1960. This includes the records and scores of schools that are now defunct...you know, like Blenheim and Wampee Little River. Playoff records, coaching records, head-to-head match-ups, it's all there and it's all free for your enjoyment. When I put together game previews each week, it's always one of the first places I go for information. My buddy Dave Pickren runs the site and does a fantastic job with it. He's working on adding games from the 1950s now.
I'm not buddies with the guy that runs www.mghelmets.com. It's not that he's a bad guy, I've just never met him. Whoever he is, he does a terrific job too. He has recreated the football helmets of every pro and college team in the country and has replicated most of the high school helmets in the country as well. Go there and click on "high schools" then "South Carolina" and you can check out the helmets of just about every team in our state.
