Chester teen arrested for armed robbery

Chester County Sheriff’s officers arrested Kendrick Maurice Strong, 18, of Chester after their investigation of a robbery at the Kangaroo Express convenience store in Chester on Sept. 3.

According to the incident report, the store clerk told investigators a black male wearing a camo mask came into the store and pointed a handgun believed to be a revolver at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk put the money in a bag and the suspect left the store. A K-9 unit and an investigator were called to the scene. The suspect left with approximately $50 according to the report. The suspect’s actions were recorded on the store’s video cameras.

According to warrants, officers arrested Strong on Sept. 6 and charged him with armed robbery and pointing and presenting a firearm. Bond was denied on both these charges. Strong remains in the Chester County Detention Center.
