Construction is underway at Brainerd Institute to restore the school's last remaining structure to its full historic integrity, a construction official said.
For the past several weeks, Project Superintendent René Velásquez of Sparta Construction, Inc. in Matthews, N.C. and his construction crew have worked tirelessly to restore Kumler Hall to the splendor it boasted when built circa 1915.
