An early morning ribbon cutting was held recently for Alltel Wireless at its new location in Chester. The big event at 1841 J.A. Cochran Bypass on Friday was witnessed by numerous store customers, company officials and community business leaders, all who attended to do their due diligence. Store manager Jill Harkins, who has been employed at Alltel Wireless for eight years, serving five of those years in Chester, said there was a seamless transition to the new location.
“The move was smooth,” Harkins said. “The store looks different. We're keeping up with the Chester movement.”
Alltel Wireless is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The business phone is 581-7439. Customers will always receive prompt and friendly service from the store's eight employees, Harkins said.
“We want our customers to know this is your hometown cell phone store so we want to make sure we find the right fit for them,” she said.
Chester County Chamber of Commerce President Jim Fuller is proud to welcome this store to its new location, he said.
“I think the new store and exposure on the (main) highway is great,” Fuller said. “Most of the employees here are local and this is another draw that the Walmart has brought. Alltel chose Chester over other providers.”
Alltel Wireless has great savings for its existing customer base and is offering promotions to attract new customers, the store manager said..
“We have the best value plans,” Harkins said. 'We offer the $45 per month Talk-n-Text and multiple choices in data packages with our Smart Phones.”
The store also offers a full line of phone accessories and portable Wi-Fi service, Harkins said. New customers are always welcome, she added.
Fridays and Mondays are our busiest days,” Harkins said. “But our customers are like our family and that's how we treat them.”
